Privacy Policy

Last Updated: December, 2023

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) outlines how Norland Labs, LLC. (“Company” or “Norland Labs” or “we” or “our” or “us”) handles information collected or provided when an end user (“you” or “your” or “User”) uses the Pebbles mobile device software application (“App”) and the Pebbles website located at https://www.pebbles.day/ (referred to as the “Online Service” and collectively with the App, the "Services"). Users use the Service to track and analyze their activities with one or more service providers and the potential tax impact associated with them (referred to as a "Provider"). Please note that by using the Services, you indicate your acceptance of this Policy as outlined below.

Provision of Third Party Credentials

In order for us to provide the Services to you, we may request that you (i) provide us with log-in credentials to your Provider accounts so that we can access and use your Provider account information as described in this Policy and/or (ii) provide us with your email credentials so that we may access the emails a Provider sends to such email account and use such email content as described in this Policy. If you do not consent to our access to these accounts or credentials, please refrain from using the Services. Despite Pebbles' reasonable security measures, unauthorized access and use of such credentials may still occur as no security measures are 100% effective. Norland Labs strongly advises against sharing your login credentials for email accounts used for purposes other than your Provider relationships with Pebbles. This includes financial accounts, health data repositories, or other services that handle sensitive information. Norland Labs does not recommend sharing such login credentials with Norland Labs or any third party. Instead, consider creating a separate email account solely for your Provider relationships and use of the Services, using free services like Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, or Hotmail.

The information collected during your use of the Services includes the following: (a) Submitted Information. As part of using the Services, you may submit certain information to us. For example, when you register for an account on the Services we will collect information from you, including Personal Information such as your email address. “Personal Information” means information such as your email address that we can directly associate with a specific person or entity without additional information. To the extent you decline to share certain information with us, we may not be able to provide some or all of the features and functionalities found on the Services. (b) Automatically Collected Information. When you use the Services, we collect certain non-personally identifiable information from you, which can be associated with your user account. This information includes usage information, such as the frequency, duration, and manner in which you use the Online Service. We also collect server log data, such as your computer's IP address, browser type, and the webpage you visited before accessing the Online Service. Additionally, we gather information about the time and location of your use of the Store Service, as well as the amount of change you added or redeemed. (c) Tracking and Cookies. The Services may utilize web beacons and cookies to collect information. "Beacons" (also known as "pixels") are small graphics on a web page that track page views. "Cookies" are small text files that contain alphanumeric characters and are downloaded by your web browser or mobile device when you visit a website. When accessing and using the Services, we may employ both session cookies and persistent cookies. Cookies can be used to remember your user account information and preferences, customize the interface of the Services for you, and assist us in measuring and analyzing Service traffic. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser, while a persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used during subsequent visits to the Services. Persistent cookies can be deleted. To modify your cookie settings, please refer to your browser's documentation. Although the Services currently do not respond to "do not track" browser headers, you can take steps to limit tracking by deleting cookies from your computer's hard drive and configuring your browser to block all cookies or provide warnings before storing a cookie. (d) Analytics. We utilize specific third-party services to aid us in analysis, auditing, research, and reporting related to the Services. These third parties may employ web logs or web beacons and may set and access cookies on your computer or other device. Specifically, we utilize Google Analytics to assist in gathering and analyzing certain information for the purposes mentioned in this Policy. If desired, you have the option to opt out of Google Analytics' use of cookies by visiting https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

(d) Transfer as Corporate Asset. In the event of a merger, sale of capital stock or assets, reorganization, consolidation or similar transaction involving Company, the information we possess, including personally identifiable information, shall be transferred as a corporate asset to the acquiring entity. (e) Legal Requirement. We will use and disclose information where we, in good faith, believe that the law or legal process (such as a court order, search warrant or subpoena) requires us to do so or in other circumstances where we believe it is necessary to protect the rights or property of Company, our users and/or third parties. (f) Affiliates. We may disclose this information to our affiliates for use as described in this Policy.

Effective Date Changes

When we make any changes to our practices under this Policy, we will update the Effective Date. Your continued use of the Services after such changes will be considered as your acceptance of the changes. However, we will obtain your affirmative consent before applying any significant change to this Policy regarding how we use or disclose personally identifiable information that we collected or received prior to the date of the change.

Third Parties

The Services may contain offers from third parties or links to third-party websites. This Policy does not apply to information that you may provide to or that may be collected by third parties.
