Taipei apartments definitely fall on the smaller side. Despite the city’s incredible barista culture (there’s no shortage of top notch coffee), not all of these qualify as work-friendly spaces—cramped tables, no outlets, required reservations, or busy chitchat at every table. If you’re looking for modern coffice (coffee + office) vibes, here’s a few that we found while roaming around Taipei.
11 AM - 7:30 PM Sun - Sat
Da’an District | Directions
Strolling around Da’an, you’re bound to find a plethora of restaurants, bars, and other distractions. But if you’re looking for a place to rest your legs and get some focus time in, Miracle Coffee makes working quite the pleasant experience. There’s fast wifi, outlets, and a bright interior that beckons you in.
8 AM - 6 PM Mon - Fri, 9 AM - 7 PM Sat & Sun
Zhongshan District | Directions
The airy industrial interior decor, fast wifi, and no shortage of tables to pick from makes this cafe an easy repeat coffice for digital nomads. Excellent coffee and tea paired with a delicious selection of pastries ensures you’ll never go hungry. The location is also extremely convenient given that it’s a mere 5 minutes walking distance from Songjiang Nanjing station.
10:30 AM - 6:30 PM Sun - Sat
Da'an District | Directions
Look no further if you want a touch of Hawaiian surf culture in the heart of Taipei. I enjoyed Swell’s delicious grilled chicken salad when I went — perfect if you’re looking for a protein packed healthy lunch option while working remotely. The large tables make it easy to find a work station and you’ll see more than a few of your fellow digital nomads set up with their coffee and laptops as well. PSA they only take cash which can be a bit inconvenient for some but there are bank ATMs not too far away.
If you’re a digital nomad roaming around, make sure you’re on top of your Taiwan residency days. Enjoy Taipei with peace of mind by keeping track of time with Pebbles.
